When choosing an Artist to do your Permanent Makeup or Microblading
Here are a few things to consider when choosing who you want to work on your new brows or eyeliner:
** Are they a licensed Esthetician, in good standing, with the state of Colorado. This could also be a Cosmetologist. But not someone that is only licensed by the state to do nails or massage.
** Has the licensed Esthetician or Cosmetologist completed the required 132 hours to perform Permanent Makeup in Colorado. This is over and above the required hours for an Esthetician or Cosmetologist.
***keep in mind, that the 132 hours is just learning the basics in order to be certified in Colorado. Are they continuing their education to improve their craft?
** Tattoo Artists are not eligible to provide Microblading or Permanent Eyeliner, unless they have fulfilled the required training and certifications, as stated above.
**Be aware of anyone performing permanent makeup in their home office. This is not allowed by DORA or local health departments.
**Has the facility undergone an inspection from their local health department and have their up-to-date certificate and are in good standing with the health department.
After speaking with the therapist, do you think they are confident in the work they perform; do they care about you and the result; are they willing to take the time to make you feel comfortable.
